Training Description:

Everyone has taken notes, but what are the note-taking skills that serve judges best?  How should a judge's notes differ from those of an advocating attorney?  In this webinar, Judge Jack Weil will provide best practices and tips for judicial note-taking.  Judge Weil demonstrates an effective note-taking model that emphasizes the preservation of information and evidence with the objective of making a well-reasoned judicial decision, incorporating techniques and tips provided by sitting Nevada judges.

Who Should Attend: 

This course is designed for all judicial officers and quasi-judicial officers. Note: Meets Core Competency "Judicial Skills" (JS).

Continuing Education Credit: 

1.0 CLE/CJE (Certificate of Attendance required to receive continuing legal/judicial education credit). NOTE: CLE credit for this course is approved through March 9, 2024, and will then be stale dated.
