Training Description:

In 2019, the Nevada legislature made major changes to the Presentencing Investigation Report. The AOC is presenting a webinar with the Nevada Department of Public Safety in which Nevada’s judges will be able to review the new form, identify what information was removed and what is included, determine best practices for the report’s use, and have their presentencing questions answered. (NRS 176.135 & NRS 176.145)

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed primarily for all Nevada general jurisdiction judges; however, limited jurisdiction judges and court staff are invited to attend as well. NOTE: Meets Core Competency “Judicial Skills” (JS).

Continuing Education Credit:

1.0 CLE/CJE (Certificate of Attendance required to receive continuing legal/judicial education credit). NOTE: CLE credit for this course is approved through December 31, 2023, and will then be stale dated.
