Welcome to the Court Improvement Program Attorney Dependency Training. This course is an online self-paced training. It requires access to the Distance Education Program (DEP) secure password-protected website for use by Nevada’s Judiciary and court staff, and CIP authorized stakeholders.

Course Description:

The CIP Attorney Dependency Online Training is intended to improve legal representation of parents and children in dependency cases. The five course modules include: Federal and State Law in Nevada Child Protection Proceedings, The Adoption and Safe Families Act; Permanency Options; Roles and Responsibilities of Attorneys; Topics in Child Welfare Proceedings; and Key Child Safety Decision Making Concepts.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for all Nevada judges handling neglect and abuse cases and the attorneys appearing in these courts.

Continuing Education Credit:

7.0 CLE (includes .5 ethics) upon completion of Modules 1-5. Note: This training has been reaccredited by the CLE Board until March 16, 2022. The content remains the same. Viewers who previously watched the video and claimed CLE and Judicial Education credit are not eligible for additional credit.
