2018 INTERLOCK LAWS AND PROCEDURES (J, SJ, CA, M/S, C)

Training Description:Significant changes were made by the 2017 legislature to statutes concerning DUIs, interlock devices, and the suspension of drivers’ licenses. The laws, taking effect October 1st, 2018, will increase the requirement for interlock devices in DUI cases. This webinar will provide information on the issuing of an order requiring an interlock device, procedures, and timeframes. Exceptions and criteria for economic hardship will also be discussed. 

Who Should Attend: This course is designed for accounting firms/accountants who wish to serve as an independent auditor for Nevada courts. A course Certificate of Completion is required for audit procedures to be completed. Each auditor assigned to perform on-site court audit procedures must complete the required training. Certificates of Completion must be presented to the court(s) before audit fieldwork begins.

Who Should Attend: This course is designed primarily for limited jurisdiction judges and court staff. However, all other judicial officers and court start are welcome to attend as well. 

Continuing Education Credit: 1.0 CLE/CJE/CEU NOTE: CLE Credit for this course is approved through December 31, 2021, and then will be stale dated.
