2021 NACE - BREAKING BIAS: UNDERSTANDING AND OVERCOMING IMPLICIT BIAS FOR BETTER DECISION MAKING (J, CA, M/S, C)

Training Description:

Implicit bias refers to the subconscious and automatically-activated attitudes or stereotypes that influence our views and often impact our day-to-day decisions. In reality, everyone has biases. In this session, we will differentiate between "healthy" bias and other types of bias that perpetuate inequity. We will also discuss some techniques to disrupt or "break" biases that may have negative impacts.
